centers! It’s the beginning of a new year and a new decade! Seasons Mind & Body Fitness is starting off the new year with two amazing workshops and is unleashing its most robust class schedule yet.

Workshops
This month, Seasons is proud to offer two yoga workshops designed to deepen your practice safely and effectively. Both workshops will be held at the downtown location and are open to anyone. The cost for each is $25 for current spin-yoga teacher trainees and $35 for all members and guests. Sign-up for the workshops online or at any Seasons location.

Alignment Workshop With Dawnelle
Saturday, January 9, 2010, 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
This workshop will help you build a solid foundation for yoga postures and include tips for micro adjustments. Correct alignment will help you create a more beneficial and deeper practice.

Special Populations Workshop With Kylie
Saturday, January 23, 2010, 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Does pain or a physical condition, such as pregnancy, prevent you from full expression during your yoga practice? Join Kylie as she demonstrates posture modifications for minor ailments, injuries, and pregnancy. This workshop makes yoga accessible to everybody.

New Classes
Seasons is very excited to share with you even more classes for 2010. Be sure to check the online schedule for class updates and cancellations. Also, if you reserve a class spot online and are unable to attend, please be courteous to other students and cancel your reservation online or by calling the gym or yoga studio. The following classes have been added to the schedule. The new schedule is effective immediately.

7:30 p.m. Spin-Yoga on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (downtown)

6:00 a.m. Spin-Yoga on Monday (downtown)

2:00 p.m. Spin-Yoga on Saturday and Sunday (downtown)
* These 2 p.m. spin-yoga classes are Community Classes, cost is only $5!

9:00 a.m. Qi Yoga on Tuesday and Thursday (City Park yoga studio)

Nutrition Classes
Many of us resolve to be healthier at the start of the new year. Keep that promise to yourself and meet your goals with the weekly nutrition class. This group class is dedicated to nutrition topics and will answer your nutrition questions. Each week nutritionist Franziska Bishop, MS, will help Qi members understand how to make smarter nutrition choices, dissect conflicting nutrition topics, and teach you how to fuel your body for performance and wellness. Each week, Franziska will choose a new nutrition topic and will discuss it for 30 minutes. The second 30 minutes of class will be dedicated to your nutrition questions. Nutrition topics will include the following:

• The importance of eating breakfast and what to eat

• Healthy snacking

• How to keep a food journal

• Quick and healthy meal ideas for busy lives

The first of this weekly nutrition class begins this Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the downtown location. Reserve your spot by signing up online.
