In an effort to help you create the body and mind that you dream of, Seasons is
offering several workshops over the next few weeks. All workshops are taught by
Seasons instructors, who are the best in the Denver yoga and Denver fitness
community. There is something for everyone, including mothers-to-be, children, and yogis who wish to deepen their practice physically and spiritually.
Pre-natal Workshop
Saturday, February 13th
Qi Yoga City Park
1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
$35 per individual or $45 per couple
Moms-to-be, you can create a deeper connection to your baby through yoga. Simply setting the intention to practice yoga in order to benefit your pregnancy will strengthen the bond between mother and child. Bring your partner and strengthen the bond between everyone. Yoga during pregnancy will also create a healthier mom and baby, a smoother pregnancy, and can promote healthier deliveries.
Yoga is a perfect way for pregnant women to become more in tune with their bodies. Pregnancy women are very sensitive to all of the body changes, and yoga can help ease the transitions. The yoga flow instructed in this workshop will include modifications for postures and poses to relieve common pregnancy-related disorders, such as swelling, back and leg pain, and insomnia. Meditation, visualization, relaxation and pranayama exercises will help with labor.
The benefits of yoga during pregnancy are many: relaxation, a deeper sense of well being, a deeper body awareness, heightened intuition, a stronger connection to the present moment, circulation stimulation, stress reduction, relief from chronic pain, increased flexibility, and the strengthening of major muscles that support a pregnant body.
Yoga for Young Warriors
Children ages 5 – 10 years: Every Tuesday from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. starting on February 23 and ending on March 30
Toddlers ages 2 – 5 years: Every Thursday from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. starting on February 25 and ending on April 1
Yoga for Young Warriors is back! Christen Bakken will be leading a six-week session for two age groups: children ages 5 – 10 years and toddlers ages 2 – 5. Children who practice yoga learn to focus and how to encounter challenges with a calm heart. Yoga is also a great way to increase a child’s physical activity. Parents are welcome to attend class, but are encouraged to use the time to work out, run errands, have a cup of coffee, or just relax. Class size is limited to 20 students so sign up now!
The Eight-Limbed Path
Saturday, February 13th

Denver yoga pioneer, owner of Seasons Mind & Body Fitness, and co-owner of Qi leads this workshop that focuses on the Yoga Sutras. The Yoga Sutras are the guiding principles of yoga. Knowing them will help you practice your yoga off the mat. Understanding them will allow you to exist amongst the chaos of life with a peaceful heart. Learn to respond, not react, and face challenges with a calm sense of empowerment.
Universal Alignment Principles of Anusara Yoga
Sunday, February 14th

$35 per individual
Anusara is a school of Hatha yoga founded by John Friend in 1997. This yoga focuses on universal alignment and leading with an open heart. Anusara means “flowing with grace.” Roger Martin-Pressman, teacher of Qi Anusara-Inspired Yoga, will be teaching this workshop. It’s great for yoga teachers and students alike.

Sanskrit Training
Sunday, February 21st

$35 per individual
Adho Mukha Svanasana. The Sanskrit phrase is often heard in yoga class as it is the ancient name for the yoga pose downward facing dog. Sanskrit is the sacred language of Hinduism and learning it can unlock powerful doors in your yoga practice.
